Our new friends in Australia posted a great video showing the beauty of Australia on their blog. It made me think that we should do the same now that we have people visiting our blog from all over the world.
Canada is the second largest country in the world. Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories. We live in British Columbia. Here is a short video about our province. It is from Tourism BC and was used to help promote British Columbia and the 2010 Olympic Games.
We are very excited to be learning more about Australia from our new friends in Miss Jordan’s grade 2 class at Leopold Primary School.

We had a wonderful Olympic themed morning at school today. The students were in teams and traveled around to different stations. They played hockey, curled, tried the luge, bobsleigh, and skeleton, did fabric art and learned about the mascots. Everyone had a fantastic time! Gold medals and Canadian flags were given to all the athletes at the Closing Ceremonies.
