Let it Snow!

It is almost the end of January and we still haven’t had any snow to play in. If itΒ isn’t going to snow for real, we can at least pretend!

  2. Dear Mrs Watson and class
While you are waiting for snow, here in Reefton, New Zealand, we waited all of January for summer to start and finally it has. Now we are back at school after our ‘summer’ break and the temperatures have risen 25˚C to 30˚C plus!
I have my fingers crossed for you that there will soon be some snow for you to play in.

Does your town look as pretty in the snow as the towns in your pictures?

  3. Dear Mrs. Watson’s class,

We love your blog! We are just starting to learn about commenting. This is the first time our class has left a comment.

Wow, we really thought that you would have had snow by now because you are north of us! We read that your class is in Canada and we know that Canada is north of Michigan. Now we are wondering, what part of Canada you live in. Mrs. Moore said she will show us on Google Earth.

We are thinking about making connections. Madisyn wants you to know that we have had lots of snow. Sean has had a snow ball fight. Do you like to have snow ball fights? Ashley wanted you to know that we enjoy sledding. Do you have any sledding hills near you? Do you have any sledding or ski hills where they make artificial snow?

    Sincerely,
Mrs. Moore and the 3rd Grade Techie Kids

  4. Dear Sierra,

  11. Dear Mrs. Watson,

This is about my third time blogging. I’m really starting to like it! Well anyways, I live in Michigan. We don’t always get a lot of snow here, but this year so far we got about 10 inches of snow. I’m surprised you didn’t get any snow yet. Not having snow is kind of an advantage because you don’t have to worry about shoveling the snow! πŸ™‚ How cold has it gotten this year in Canada? Here in Michigan it can get pretty cold!

I’m looking forward to getting a response from you soon! I hope you get snow soon!

    • Dear Katey,
We think that you will really love blogging. It is fun to meet people from all over the world. You get a chance to share your learning and ideas with a lot of different people and learn all about them too. Do you think you will start your own blog some day?

10 inches of snow, WOW! We think you are very lucky. I guess there are some good things about not having snow, but we still think we would like some. It doesn’t get very cold here on Malcolm island. It has only been a degree or two below zero a couple times this winter. It is 7Β°C (45Β° F) here today. How cold is it there?

  12. Dear Mrs. Watson and the K/1/2/3s,

Thank you so much for your reply! I was really looking forward to it. Starting my own blog would be a lot of fun, but I don’t know if I would start one. It does look like a lot of fun though! Is it hard to start a blog?

Yes, 10 inches is a lot. Right now in Michigan it is about 20 degrees! I would love 45 degree weather right now! If you do get snow, how many inches would you want?

    • Dear Katey,
Your reply got us very excited when you asked us how much snow we would like. We were all jumping up and showing how high on our bodies. Most of us think we would like it up to our heads! Have you ever had snow that deep in Michigan? We sure haven’t!

we think you should start a blog one day. It isn’t very hard. It is just like keeping a journal, but on the computer.

      Your friends,
      Mrs. W and the K/1/2/3s

  13. Dear Mrs. Watson and the K/1/2/3s,

Wow, that sure would be a lot of snow if it was up to your heads! Now that I think about it I don’t think we have ever gotten that much snow. Just not up to our heads anyway. πŸ™‚ What kinds of fun activites would you do in the snow if it started to snow?

Maybe I will start my own blog one day! πŸ™‚ Thanks for the reply!
