In November we were treated to a special visit from Bardo the Barred Owl and Ross and Rosemarie from the North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre. Ross and Rosemarie taught us all about owls and then we got to do a pellet dissection! Somehow Mrs. Watson forgot all about posting the video …better late than never! We would like to thank Rosemarie, Ross, and Bardo for traveling all the way to Sointula and for teaching us so many fascinating things about owls!

The students all wrote wonderful posts about the visit on their own blogs as well. You can click on the links to the right to read their posts and leave them comments.

Did you learn anything new about owls?

What was your favourite cool fact?

  1. Dear Mrs.Watson and friends,

Wow! those facts are so cool, I can`t even pick one. All these cool facts reminds me about last year when we made those owls. Why is my blog not on your blog anymore? I have been looking for it for a very long time. If you do anymore nice art or learn about anything let me know.

    • Hi Oceana,
It is always great to see a comment from you! The owl visit made us think about the owls we painted too. Your blog is still active, but there isn’t a link to it in the sidebar anymore because ou moved. You can find the blog here http://ajeeoceana.edublogs.org/ and it is there for you to blog on as long as you like. I am happy to keep looking after it for you 🙂

I hope to see you over the holidays!
      Your friend,
      Mrs. W
