Special Visitors

This week we had three very special visitors come and stay in our classroom. Rose, Midnight, and Magic arrived on Tuesday and will be going home after school today. We would like to thank Bronwen and her family for letting the chicks come to visit us!

We also had a special visit from the preschoolers yesterday. They came to visit the chicks and stayed for buddy reading. We hope they will come back and visit us again soon!

  1. Dear Mrs Watson and the 1/2/3s,

Wow, that must have been exciting when the chicks came to visit you! How old were they? Were they noisy when you were trying to work? They are so cute!

You asked us about our favourite fruits and vegies. We have “brain food” every day at 10.00am where students may have a small fruit or veg snack. Some of our popular choices are strawberries. apples, carrot and celery sticks, oranges and pineapple. Do you have brain food at your school?

Yesterday we had a public holiday for ANZAC Day. Have you heard of it before? It stands for Australia and New Zealand Army Corps. On the 25th of April we remember the people who fought in the wars. There are dawn services all around the country. It is a very special day in Australia. As ANZAC Day was on a Sunday. yesterday was our holiday. Some of us marched in the ANZAC Day parades.

    Speak to you soon,

    From 2KJ

    • Dear Olivia,
Thank you for leaving us a comment. We all really liked having the chicks visit. We got to hold them and let them walk around in the classroom. They were getting pretty big and sometimes tried to fly when we picked them up!
