What an exciting day!

Today when we got to school we found that the first of our baby chicks had hatched!  We were all very excited and decided to name the little guy, Graham.  Several other chicks were starting to hatch by the time we went home for the day and when Mrs. W came back at night to check on them 6 more had hatched.  Tomorrow will be a fun day!

  1. Dear Micheal,
I think the chicks are adorable too! I can’t wait to see them again after Spring Break. Thank you for sharing the website link with everyone.

    See you next week,
    Mrs. W

  2. Hello everybody. I am a student at The University of Central Oklahoma. I am hoping to be a teacher, myself, one day. I am excited to see that your chickens are starting to hatch. I am always fascinated by the process. The State Fair of Oklahoma has an attraction titled Agtropolis. You can view baby chicks and see them as they hatch. It is really neat.

    • Michael,
Thank you so much for visiting our blog and leaving us a comment. The students and I were all very excited when the chicks started hatching. Unfortunately, they were only with us for 2 days before we had our Spring Break. We are looking forward to seeing them again next week. Good luck with your studies!

  3. I loved seeing your chick pictures…how exciting! We hatched eggs last year and one of the chicks named Cruz, was really cuddly. He loved to lay on his back in your hand and have his tummy rubbed!!!

    • Mrs. Barks,
Thank you so much for your comment on our blog. Cruz sounds adorable! Unfortunately, our chicks started hatching the day before Spring Break so we didn’t get to spend a lot of time with them. We are hoping that they will return to our class for a visit soon.
