Last week we read, The Mixed Up Chameleon by Eric Carle. It is about a chameleon who doesn’t find life very exciting and after a trip to the zoo, wishes he could be more like the animals he sees there. The result is one very mixed up chameleon!
On Monday, we were inspired to create our own mixed up creations. We used a fun, web-based program called Build Your Wild Self to create pictures that we can use as our avatars. First, you create your human self and then you have the ability to add all sorts of different animal parts. Finally, you can choose a background to finish your avatar off. We thought the finished products were very funny!
You can click on each image to make it larger and then you will also be able to see each of our mixed up animal names.

Dear May,
Do you have a favourite Wild Self? Which animal parts did you choose and why? I think some of those creations would have a very hard time surviving in the real world!
Sincerely,
Mrs. W
