What Would You Pick?

Recently we have been talking a lot about things we wonder.  Today Mrs. Watson asked us what we would want to learn about if we had a whole school day to ourselves.  It was very hard to pick just one idea (some of us changed our minds a few times before deciding).

What do you want to learn more about?

  1. Those are great things to learn about!
I would like to learn more about the different kinds of wood we have on the North Island.

    • Dear Ms. Kiatipis,
Thank you so much for leaving us a comment. We remember you from when you have been to our school. It is fun to get comments from people we know!

Learning about the different kinds of wood on the North Island would be very interesting. Some of us have been on forest walks with Claudia and she has taught us about some of the different trees in our forests. We hope you get to go exploring!

  2. Dear Mrs. Watson’s K/1/2/3 Class,

I think this is a wonderful collection of things to learn about. You have chosen many topics I know I would find interesting. Some I know and others I would have to research. That’s the great advantage about learning, we discover things we didn’t know. Even though I am now a retired teacher, I still learn new things and hope I always will. It keeps my mind young.

Keep your eyes, ears and minds open as you discover how incredible our world is.

    • Dear Mr. Mannell,
Thank you so much for another fantastic comment! We love to learn too. Mrs. Watson always says that she loves her job because she gets to learn new things with us every day. Thank you so much for everything you share with us in your comments. We love learning from you!

  3. Dear Mrs. Watson’s k-3 class,

I enjoyed hearing about what you would all like to learn about if you had a free day in school. It would be a hard choice for me because there is so much to learn about. You all had creative and detailed ideas, I would like to learn about the Solar System, and how it works, because I am very interested in space. I hope to hear what you think of my idea to learn about soon!

    • Dear Cailyn,
Thank you for leaving us a comment. We thought that it was hard to choose too. A lot of us are interested in the solar system as well. We are having fun following Commander Hadfield while he is on the International Space Station. Do you know who he is? You might enjoy seeing some of the cool things he has been sharing about space and the beautiful pictures he Tweets of the Earth.

  4. Dear Class,
I was wondering when we are going to have a day like that. I think it would be lots of fun if we do. My second choice would be learning about new words in reading.
