Get Out Migration

This morning Alexandra Morton visited our school. She talked to the students about her upcoming walk. ‘The Get Out Migration’ starts on Earth Day (April 22nd) and ends with a Mother’s Day blessing (May 9th). She is going to walk from Sointula to Victoria to try and protect BC’s wild salmon. Alex talked to the students about the importance of our wild salmon and about fish farms. There is a lot of great information about “The Get Out Migration’ at www.salmonaresacred.org There is also a petition you can sign in support of our wild salmon.

  1. I am so happy to see that Alexandra came to visit all of you. She has great information to offer. I hope you all listened to what she had to say and felt some of the passion that she has for our wild salmon.
We are so lucky to have people like Alexandra Morton that are willing to go to the lengths she does for our future.
    YEAH Alexandra!!!

    • Dear Erica,
Thank you so much for leaving us a comment. The class was excited to see your message. We really did enjoy listening to Alex talk and are glad that we can be a part of the Get Out Migration in a small way.
