In science today we reviewed what plants need in preparation for a new science experiment. The students knew that plants need space to grow, air (Carbon Dioxide was mentioned specifically), sun, water, and nutrients from the soil. We then got busy preparing an experiment that will allow us to watch a seed as it grows into a seedling and then a plant.
Each day we will make observations, watching for signs of change. The students have estimated that it may take between 3 and 7 days before their seeds start to germinate.
We’ll keep you posted!
Hi K/1/2s,
What kind of seeds did you plant? Do you think that makes a difference in how fast a seed will sprout?
